Sarah Sparks has nearly 20 years of public relations experience serving a scope of both consumer brand and B-to-B clients - from small start-ups to large, publicly held companies…and everything in between.
Sarah has a unique flair for media relations and regularly secures coverage for clients in local, national and international news outlets. In the cannabis space, her clients have appeared in outlets such as The Cannabist, Cannabis Business Executive, Cannabis Business Times and Marijuana Business Daily. Her work for cannabis clients has also resulted in national business press coverage and solid relationships with key cannabis media influencers.
In addition to media relations strategy and execution, Sarah is a seasoned writer, a practiced media trainer, an experienced thought leadership program manager, and a well-rounded PR strategist with a solid background in crisis communications.
Sarah began her PR career with the largest high-tech PR agency in Colorado at the time. During the height of the dot-com boom (and after the bubble burst), Sarah served as a key account team leader for many of the agency’s largest clients in the satellite imaging, telecom and data storage industries.
Since leaving the traditional agency environment in 2003 to consult, Sarah has designed and executed successful PR programs for consumer and technology brands spanning the beer, agriculture, SaaS, cannabis and restaurant industries, among many others.
Sarah graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications studies. She lives in Boulder with her husband and their two daughters.
